Wajipha Chongwe, the creator of this piece and a singer, songwriter and artist, uses this performance to tell her story—one of two vastly different cultures. Born in Zambia, with half African, half Australian heritage, Wajipha discusses the impact both sides of her heritage have had on her life thus far. She utilizes storytelling and song to communicate the way both cultures have shaped her as a person, creating an effortlessly engaging, creative, and captivating performance, and interacting with the audience to illustrate the beautifully diverse and yet cohesive nature of the world.
